The Memory

I didn’t ride often as a child but when I did, it felt like stepping into another world. The stables were quiet, almost sacred. Dust hung in the air like sunlight you could touch, and the scent, God, the scent has stayed with me ever since.

It was all leather and oak. Saddles lined up on their stands, worn smooth by years of use. Reins coiled neatly. Boots by the door, still damp with morning dew. There was something solid and grounding about it. Like time didn’t move the same way there.

I remember the creak of the saddle as I climbed on, the nervous flutter in my chest giving way to calm the second I was seated. The weight of the leather beneath me, the smell of it wrapping around me like a blanket and the oak, the old beams of the stable walls, cool to the touch, soaked with stories.

The Saddle Room is that moment. That memory of doing something out of the ordinary.
Of feeling held, brave, and just a little bit wild.

How to use



To ensure you enjoy your candle safely, always burn it within sight. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and keep it away from anything flammable such as curtains, furniture, or papers.

Before each use, trim the wick to around 5mm. This helps prevent an overly large flame, excessive smoke, and ensures a clean, even burn. For best results, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface on the first burn to avoid tunnelling.

Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Avoid burning your candle near open windows, fans, or drafts that could cause uneven burning or sooting.

Keep candles out of reach of children and pets. Stop using the candle when about 10mm of wax remains at the bottom to prevent overheating the container.
