How To Give Your Jar A Second Life

Why these vessels are keepers.
You might notice that our jars feel heavier and more substantial than standard glass. To achieve the specific finish/colour/durability of our vessels, we use materials that are designed for longevity rather than disposal. As these high-quality materials are not accepted by standard curb side recycling, we intentionally chose them to be "Forever Vessels." By keeping these jars in your home, you’re helping us move away from "single-use" culture and toward a more intentional, circular way of living.
The Easy Clean "Freeze & Pop" Method
This is the cleanest way to remove wax without making a mess.
Freeze it: Once about 1/2 inch of wax remains, place the cooled jar in the freezer for 2–3 hours. The cold causes the wax to shrink and pull away from the edges.
Pop it: Use a dull butter knife or a spoon to gently press down on one side of the wax. It should pop out in one or two large chunks.
Remove the Wick: Use the spoon to pry up the metal wick tab at the bottom.
Clean: Wipe away any residue with a paper towel and wash the jar thoroughly with warm, soapy water.
Enjoy: Your vessel is now ready to be a pen holder, a bud vase, or a home for your favourite succulent.
Reuse Inspiration
Since these jars are staying with you, here are a few ways our community loves to use them:
-
The Bathroom: Perfect for cotton rounds, bath salts, or makeup brushes.
-
The Workspace: Keep paperclips, pens, or cables organised and out of sight.
-
The Green Finger: Small jars make excellent "nursery" pots for plant cuttings.
- The Bedroom: A catch-all for jewellery or hair ties before you go to sleep.
- The Kitchen: Create a spice station or a coffee corner.
- The Lounge: Store your matches or a battery operated tea light for a subtle glow.
A Note on Sustainability
By choosing to reuse your jar, you are directly helping us reduce environmental impact. Since these specific vessels cannot be processed at standard recycling facilities, your creativity in repurposing them is the best way to keep our planet clean.
