The Beach House Candle

When I was growing up, we lived just eight miles from the beautiful North Devon coast.

As soon as summer arrived, so many of our evenings were spent at Saunton Sands. We'd race barefoot across the warm sand, trying to avoid the sharp dune grass on the way to the beach, before running in and out of the sea and staying until the sun began to dip lower in the sky.

One thing I always remember is looking up at the beautiful beach houses overlooking the coastline. To me, they felt magical. I'd imagine what it would be like to wake up every morning to the sound of the waves, convinced that one day, perhaps one of those houses would be mine.

Although life took me in a different direction, those memories have never left me.

The Beach House was created to capture that feeling. The salty sea air, the sun-bleached driftwood, warm sand beneath your feet, the rustling dune grass and the simple freedom of long summer evenings by the coast.

Every time I light this candle, I'm transported straight back to those carefree days, and I hope it brings back a special seaside memory for you too.

To ensure you enjoy your candle safely, always burn it within sight. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and keep it away from anything flammable such as curtains, furniture, or papers.

Before each use, trim the wick to around 5mm. This helps prevent an overly large flame, excessive smoke, and ensures a clean, even burn. For best results, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface on the first burn to avoid tunnelling.

Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Avoid burning your candle near open windows, fans, or drafts that could cause uneven burning or sooting.

Keep candles out of reach of children and pets. Stop using the candle when about 10mm of wax remains at the bottom to prevent overheating the container.
